A fictional US television show that aired Wednesday had a plot line that touched upon a golf sex scandal with overtones of the real-life woes faced by Tiger Woods over the past year. The episode of "Law and Order - Los Angeles" featured a married male golfer who had affairs with numerous women, angering his wife, and eventually wound up in a rehabilitation clinic for sexual addiction.
Woods was divorced from his wife, Elin Nordegren, last August after revelations that he had multiple mistresses, a scandal that led to the loss of millions of dollars in sponsorship income and contributed to his fall from the world number one ranking. The fictional show made only one mention of Woods -- when its fictional character went to a rehabilitation clinic as Woods did early this year.
The final scene showed characters watching the fictional golfer making a good shot on a golf telecast, one telling the other, "It hasn't affected his game. I guess that's all he has now.""That's all he has ever had," the other replied.
